First post! More info on this work, and for beta readers

Finally I managed to get this site together, and it wasn't QUITE as daunting as I imagined it to be!

"Bunika" is a work in progress, though the first draft is complete and will now undergo revisions. Those will go on for a couple more months yet, and I hope that they are wrapped up roundabout February 2024. After that, the beta process will begin and last probably till the summer.

So who am I and why am I writing this? The first question I won't go into too much detail on for now, though I will at least say I have some years of experience in academia and journalism. As for the second...

This novel was something I had the idea of doing a long time ago, but like with so many things, it took the right combination of factors for me to actually DO it. I had wanted to write a vampire novel for quite some time, but had lacked confidence to do so, being chiefly published in other areas than fiction. However, due to my work writing lore for Skyrim in 2023 - and subsequently getting my short stories published in major mods - I finally gained the courage to work on Bunika. My thanks to the wonderful venjhammet in the Skyrim modding community for including my work (as Lysander) in mods such as The Land of Vominheim and Valefrost.

The book release itself is quite some time away, and I currently hope it to be in the latter half of 2025. I am planning for either traditional publishing or self-publishing - with the former being the preference, obviously, and the latter being a backup, though a very good one!

Before that, though, beta reads will be coming into play from Feb/Mar onwards, till probably around summer 2024. If you would like to be part of those then please contact me! You do not have to read the whole book, even reading and commenting on small parts of it is useful!

I am also very much looking to talk with Slovakian nationals to help with linguistic and cultural consistency. Any assistance with such would be greatly appreciated!

This website, like the novel, is a work in progress. I will include development updates every once in a while here in this blog, and will discuss anything else which I think may be of interest for people to read.
